Meetings & Hearings

Meetings
The Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District Board of Directors holds regular monthly meetings on the second Friday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the District Office, 225 South Pierce, Suite 104, Burnet, Texas.   From time to time, a regular or special Board meeting, or portion thereof, may be
designated as a Work Session for the Board and its employees to discuss and evaluate issues that may require lengthy presentations not generally possible during a regular Board meeting.  Should the meeting be held at a different place or time, this information will be included Posted Notices.

Hearings
The District conducts two general types of hearings: (1) hearings involving permit matters, in which the rights, duties, or privileges of a party are determined after an opportunity for an adjudicative hearing, and (2) rulemaking hearings involving matters of general applicability that implement, interpret, or prescribe the law or District policy, or that describe the procedure or practice requirements of the District. Any matter designated for hearing before the Board may be heard by a quorum of the Board, referred by the Board for hearing before a Hearing Examiner, or heard by a quorum of the Board along with an appointed Hearing Examiner who officiates during the hearing.
